Meeting Pins

Privacy Policy

Your meetings stay yours.

Last updated: November 3, 2026.

Meeting Pins stores the meeting names, invitation links, optional passwords, favorites, manual display order, notes, and optional recurring schedules and reminder choices you choose to save. A local copy is kept in the app's sandbox on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad. When iCloud is available, the app synchronizes bookmarks through your private iCloud database under your Apple Account.

Meeting names, links, passwords, notes, and schedules use CloudKit encrypted fields. The developer does not operate a server to receive your bookmarks. The app contains no advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs. Apple processes iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy.

If you enable reminders, the operating system stores scheduled notifications on each device. Alerts can display the meeting name and how soon it starts. Their payload includes an internal bookmark identifier, never the meeting link, password, or notes. Notification permission and presentation are controlled independently on each device through Settings or System Settings.

When you click Join, the original meeting link is passed to your system's URL handler, which may open a browser and Zoom. The link may contain a meeting passcode or registration token. Those services handle joining under their own terms and privacy policies.

When you choose a copy action, the selected link or password is placed on the system clipboard. Joining a meeting, including from a notification, also copies its separately saved password when present so you can paste it into Zoom. On Mac, Meeting Pins marks copied links and passwords as concealed for clipboard managers that honor that convention and clears them after 60 seconds if they have not been replaced. On iPhone and iPad, copies are marked local to the device and given a system-managed expiration of 60 seconds. The app cannot guarantee that another application has not read or retained clipboard data.

You can edit or remove individual bookmarks in the app. Deletions synchronize when iCloud becomes available. Uninstalling the app does not by itself delete its iCloud records. Local bookmarks remain available when iCloud is temporarily unavailable; syncing may pause until the account or network issue is resolved.

The app saves a local preference recording whether the library has been opened before. Launch-at-login registration is managed through macOS and can be changed in Meeting Pins settings or System Settings.

If you email support, your email provider and the developer's email provider process your address and message so Jason DeFillippo can respond. Support correspondence is used to handle your request and retained as needed for support. Do not include meeting links, passwords, private notes, or other people's information in a support request.

For support, privacy questions, or requests concerning support correspondence, contact support@jason.fyi. The developer cannot read or delete bookmarks in your private iCloud database on your behalf; manage those records in the app. There is no separate Meeting Pins account to close.

This policy is published at https://jason.fyi/meeting-pins/privacy.html. Changes to data handling will be reflected in this policy and its update date.
